摘要

中文摘要 扬子陆块与华夏地块(或造山系)的碰撞拼贴界线和时限、碰撞机制及时空演化等,是困扰华南地区大地构造演化的关键问题,争议的核心是加里东期是否存在华南洋。华夏地块西部的云开地区自南华系至志留系出露连续,沉积建造与古生物群在奥陶纪出现明显分异,因此具有破解这一问题的巨大潜力。伴随着近年来地质调查项目的开展,在云开地区中上奥陶统的碎屑岩建造中发现了多个新化石点,包括双壳类、腕足类以及三叶虫和分类位置不明的化石,其中壳相生物群研究长期没有突破,制约了对这一关键构造转换期的认识。通过对这一地区中晚奥陶世化石的古生物学、生物古地理学和生态学特征进行研究,建立云开地区中晚奥陶世生物地层格架和岩石地层序列,确定奥陶纪沉积古地理格局及其大地构造属性,为探讨早古生代是否存在华南洋提出古生物学方面的佐证。该研究将为揭示华夏早古生代构造演化提供更多线索和依据。
英文摘要 The boundary,period,collision mechanism and spatio-temporal evolution of the Yangtze block and Cathaysia block (or orogeny) remain controversial, which are the key issues for the tectonic evolution of South China. The core of the controversy is whether the paleo-South China Ocean existed in Caledonian. The Nanhuaian to Silurian strata are well exposed in Yunkai area, western Cathaysia block. Additionally, sedimentary construction and faunas were changed in Ordovician. In recent years, with the help of geological survey, some new fossil sites were discovered which include bivalve, brachiopoda, trilobite and kinds of unknown fossils. However, the weak study of shell biota restricted our understanding of the crucial tectonic transition period. Based on the middle to late Ordovician fossils, assisted by a comprehensive study of palaeontology, palaeobiogeography and palaeoecology, this project aims to improve a high-resolution bio-chronostratigraphic framework, approach the depositional paleogeographic and geotectonic evolution in Yunkai area and propose some palaeontological evidence for the presence of paleo-South China ocean. In all, this research would provide more clues and evidence in revealing the tectonic evolution of the Cathaysia block during the Early Paleozoic.
